Ypr Usa was founded  approximately 10 years ago, after both Alessandro De Fillippo and Elisabeth Pettersson noticed a need to perfect the concept of housing in Rome for American college students and universities.

They understood that one of the key elements in providing a good study abroad experience was not only in the classroom setting but also through safe and comfortable housing accomodations.                                                             They did what other companies resisted and raised the bar of customer service to a higher level.                                         They were then able to expand their network reaching new univeristies and study abroad programs in Rome which has enabled them to continuously grow throughout the years. 

In 2013 Elisabeth  opened a new company: SHR. The two Housing Companies , YPR/SHR, are still in partnership.
